What changed

Luk Fook entered Britain. The Hong Kong jeweller opened its first United Kingdom shop at Westfield Stratford City in London on 10 September. The group counts about 2,900 points of sale in 14 countries and regions.

What it means · The Desk’s View

If you trade on a UK high street: a group with about 2,900 points of sale now has a London address.

If you supply Hong Kong jewellers: the three-year plan names three new overseas markets, and one is now filled.

What this is not: a sales figure. The release publishes no revenue or target for the shop.

IOne shop, one new market

Stratford, not Oxford Street. The shop sits at Unit SU2037, Westfield Stratford City, next to the Olympic Park in east London.

Opened on the tenth. Luk Fook gives 10 September 2026 as the opening date in its own release.

IIThe network is the context

About 2,900 counters. The group reports around 2,900 points of sale across 14 countries and regions.

Six brands, one group. Lukfook Jewellery, 3DG Jewellery, Heirloom Fortune, Lukfook Joaillerie, Goldstyle and Love LUKFOOK JEWELLERY sit under it.

IIIA three-year plan is behind it

Three markets named. Luk Fook says its three-year strategic plan set a goal of entering three new overseas markets.

Listed since 1997. The company listed on the Hong Kong exchange's main board in May 1997 and opened its first shop in 1991.

01What would change this call+

A second and third overseas market inside a year. One shop in one mall is a test; three markets filled would make the three-year plan the story rather than the address.

02What a point of sale counts+

Luk Fook's network figure counts points of sale rather than owned shops. The group runs self-operated stores, licensed shops and counters inside department stores, and all three are inside the number. A licensed shop carries the brand without the group carrying the lease, so a point-of-sale count moves faster than a store-opening programme would suggest.

03Method · the desk’s arithmetic+

The release was read through ACN Newswire's English distribution, fetched directly, which carries the address, the opening date, the network figures and the executive line. Luk Fook's own investor-relations page for the release was not reached: a constructed address at lukfook.com returned a hard 404 and no further address was guessed, under the Address Rule. The Bureau's slate recorded this item as having zero English-language coverage anywhere. That is wrong and is corrected here: ACN Newswire distributed the release in English and at least three outlets carried it, which changes the item's time-lead but not its facts. What remains true is that the English-language jewelry trade press has not covered it. The executive line about the three-year plan runs to 21 words in the release and is therefore paraphrased here with attribution rather than quoted, under this paper's 15-word cap. No exchange rate and no sales figure is asserted: the release publishes neither. Archive test, both periods named: the archive carries Luk Fook in 37 files, every one of them a Hong Kong gold-counter or pricing-board reference, and a search for Stratford returns zero; this item covers a United Kingdom shop opening on 10 September 2026. Same company, no prior coverage of any UK store, so NEW.
