The India Pavilion opened in two phases, at AsiaWorld-Expo on 14 September and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 16 September. Exhibitors at the fair come from 44 countries.

Small booths throughout. That is an average of 13.8 square metres a company, which is a small-booth pavilion rather than a hall of flagships.

01What would change this call+
A published order value. A pavilion is a cost line until someone counts what was written in it, and 89 companies in 1,228 square metres says only what India paid for, not what it sold.
02What a pavilion figure is and is not+
A national pavilion is floor space a trade council buys in bulk and allots to member exporters, usually at a subsidy. Its two published numbers, companies and square metres, measure the council's commitment and the average stand size, which is a real signal about who is being sent: 13.8 square metres is a two-table booth for showing parcels, not a brand installation. What it cannot measure is demand. Attendance, order value and repeat buyers are counted afterwards if they are counted at all, and no fair organiser is obliged to publish any of them.

The 14 and 16 September opening dates, the 44 exhibiting countries and the 141 expected visitor countries are in the same release. The page is dated 17 September 2026 and its event dates agree with its page date, so no dateline gap arises. The 13.8 square metre average is Carat Capital's division and is labelled as such in the key figures and in Table I. ARCHIVE: Jewellery & Gem World Hong Kong and the India Pavilion - zero hits across the 389-article archive for Jewellery & Gem World, AsiaWorld and 1,228, each searched separately and each returning either nothing or coincidental numeric matches that were opened and read. No prior period of this fair exists in the record, so NEW. The Western trade press carried no version of this pavilion figure at the time of writing, which is a lead rather than an exclusive and is claimed as nothing more.
