What it means
- If you consign vintage watches: Every lot found a buyer. The house gives no lot count or estimate total, so depth against April cannot be judged.
- If you price Patek complications: A 2499/100 made €1,424,000 and a 3974 €1,144,000, both with premium.
- What this is not: A like-for-like fall. The total is 15.9% below April's, on an unstated lot count.

What would change this call
A November lot count well below April's 288 would make the lower total a smaller sale rather than a weaker one.
How the total is reported
The house publishes its own total and sell-through rate. The lot prices it names include buyer's premium; the release does not say whether the total does.
Method
Monaco Legend Group journal, 'A Landmark Auction Weekend in Monaco', dated '02 November 2026', describing 'this weekend's Exclusive Timepieces auction in Monaco'; the body gives no sale dates, so none is printed. Fetched by the Editor at 06:04 EST 4 November 2026 with tools/door.py, 200, 61,940 bytes (newsroom/sources/2026-11-04/desk/monaco.html), the same byte count as the Bureau's capture. Grep of the raw bytes: '22,260,000' 2, '100% sell-through' 2, '1,858,000' 4, '1,424,000' 2, '1,144,000' 4, '858,000' 6 (it also sits inside 1,858,000), '702,000' 2, '494,000' 2, '1955' 2, '2017' 2, 'Goldberger' 6. Text: 'an exceptional 100% sell-through rate, with total sales reaching €22,260,000', 'LOT 50 – ROLEX 6062 €1,858,000 incl. buyers premium', 'Originally purchased in 1955', 'entering the collection of renowned watch scholar John Goldberger in 2017', 'becoming the highest-selling lot of the auction', 'Closing the auction in spectacular fashion, this superb yellow-gold fourth-series reference 2499/100', 'Dating to 1982', 'This early yellow-gold example from 1990', 'An exceptionally rare early Nautilus from 1978', 'mid-century Vacheron Constantin'. Sixteen 'LOT' results named (grep 16). April: journal of 29 April, 200, 49,156 bytes (mlg106.html), 'total sales of €26.47 million and an exceptional 98.3% sell-through rate'; journal of 5 May, 200, 45,609 bytes (mlg107.html), 'Across 288 lots, the auction achieved €26.46 million'. The house prints April two ways; this page uses €26.47m, the figure in its results release. Arithmetic, ours: 22.26 / 26.47 = 0.841 -> 84.1% of April -> 15.9% below (15.9% on €26.46m too). Single source: the house's own figures; no independent report of the total was found in one web search by the Bureau, and none is claimed. ARCHIVE, by entity: 'Monaco Legend' 1 hit (23 September, a Sotheby's sale that names the house in passing, opened), 'Goldberger' 0 hits (tools/archive-hits.py, the Editor, 4 November). Ours: no Monaco Legend result | new: the sale reported 2 November: NEW.
