What changed

Eleven exhibitors opened. GJEPC's India Pavilion opened at the 58th Watch & Jewellery Show Middle East at Expo Centre Sharjah, a show running 30 September to 4 October 2026. The council names 11 Indian exhibitors on the stand.

What it means

  • If you sell into the Gulf: The pavilion closes 4 October. This is a record of who was on the stand, not a reason to travel.
  • If you track Indian export promotion: Eleven names across seven product categories is the size of this push, at a show the organiser sizes at 66,000 visitors.
  • What this is not: A sales figure. GJEPC publishes no order value, no footfall count and no exhibitor revenue for the pavilion.

Eleven names, seven categories

List spans categories. GJEPC names Omega Jewellery, Core Jewellery, Peacemoon Traders, Exclusive Diamond Jewellery and Teyana Jewels. It also names Sejal Exports, Veekay Diamants, Harshwardhan Gems, Sherly Jewels, Rajesh Gems and Arina Jewellery.

Count is corroborated. The release states 11 Indian exhibitors and its own named list counts to 11, so the figure is checkable twice inside one document.

Notes on this table

Every figure in this table is the release's own, read from a direct fetch of 34,025 bytes on 4 October 2026. The exact string 11 Indian exhibitors returns one hit in those bytes, and counting the release's own list of exhibitor names independently returns 11, so the figure is sourced and corroborated rather than tallied. The 66,000 and 1,000-plus attendance figures are the show organiser's forward estimate and are carried as an estimate; Carat Capital has not independently audited them and no post-show count exists. The 58th ordinal and the venue are the release's own. No order value, footfall count or revenue figure is published for the pavilion.

The scale figures are a forecast

Organiser's own estimate. More than 66,000 visitors and over 1,000 trade buyers from 52 countries are expectations the release states. They are not a measured gate count.

Eighteen countries named. International participation runs from Bahrain to Yemen and includes China, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Türkiye, the UK and the US.

One dated event, not a result

Consul General visited. Emmadi Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Consul General of India in Dubai, toured the pavilion on the opening day. GJEPC's Antarpal Singh Sawhney and Ashish Sakhardande received him.

What to watch

  • 4 OctThe show closes at Expo Centre Sharjah; any post-show visitor count would replace the 66,000 forecast

What would change this call

A published post-show attendance count materially under 66,000, which would make the organiser's forecast the wrong figure to have carried. An exhibitor withdrawal or addition reported before the show closes would also move the count of 11.

What an India Pavilion is

GJEPC is India's statutory gem and jewellery export promotion council. An India Pavilion is a curated block of member stands inside a third-party trade show, booked and staffed by the council rather than by the show organiser.

Method

The release was fetched direct at 34,025 bytes on 4 October 2026 and read as raw bytes rather than through a summariser. The exact strings 11 Indian exhibitors, 66,000, 52 countries and Expo Centre Sharjah each return one hit in those bytes. The exhibitor count was then checked a second way by counting the release's own named list, which returns 11 independently. The in-body dateline reads Oct 01, 2026, beside the headline. The archive was searched by entity on website/content/articles.json: Sharjah returns zero hits and India Pavilion returns prior coverage of GJEPC's Hong Kong pavilion only, a different show and a different event, so this is new. The attendance figures were not independently verified and are labelled as the organiser's forecast wherever they appear.
