What this is not: A contract value. Neither side published what the deal is worth.

01What would change this call+
A programme that slips, or a cutover that is never dated. Exchange platform replacements are announced at signature and measured at go-live, and no go-live has been published here.
02What a clearing engine does+
A derivatives exchange runs three layers that are often bought together. The trading layer matches orders. The clearing layer stands between buyer and seller as central counterparty, holds margin and guarantees settlement if one side fails, which is the layer that carries the exchange's own risk. The surveillance layer watches the order book for manipulation and reports to the regulator. Replacing all three at once is the widest version of this kind of project, because the clearing layer cannot be cut over independently of the book it clears. Connectivity, the gateway members' systems talk through, is the fourth piece named here.
03Method · the desk’s arithmetic+
Business Standard's and The Tribune's reports of 15 September 2026 were both read for the component list, and they carry it identically: TCS BaNCS for central counterparty clearing and securities trading, Quartz for market surveillance, Quartz Gateway for market connectivity, and a generative AI layer for reporting and analytics. The asset classes, energy, currencies, bullion and equities, and the intention to extend to crypto-related products, are from the same reports. The share figure is the weakest evidence in the piece and is marked as such rather than levelled up: 5.19% and ₹2,315 come from one outlet, Whalesbook, which describes the move as intraday on the National Stock Exchange on 15 September rather than as a close, and the article says intraday and single-outlet in both the key figures and the body. No contract value, term length or cutover date was published by either party, and none is estimated here; the key figures print that absence as a zero rather than leaving the cell out. The Bureau's original filing carried this as a single Arabic-language source and also carried a same-day-settled gold contract as the background to it. The English-language primaries above supersede the first point; the second was not verified and is not printed.
