What changed

A Sky Moon tops the list. Christie's estimates a Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon at HK$26.5 million to HK$43 million. It leads five named lots in a Hong Kong evening sale on 25 November.

What it means

  • If you bid on Journe: September's HK$31.4 million is a result. This lot's HK$32 million high is an estimate before premium.
  • If you consign Patek complications: Three of the five named lots are Patek, from a 2016 chronograph to the Sky Moon.
  • What this is not: A result or a sale total. These are five estimates, before premium.

Patek fills three slots

Twelve complications lead. The Sky Moon is a white gold double-dial watch. Christie's lists twelve complications, among them a cathedral minute repeater, a tourbillon and a sky chart.

A possibly unique Celestial. A ruby-set Celestial, Ref. 6104/12G-010, from about 2017 carries HK$12 million to HK$24 million. Christie's calls it possibly unique and previously unknown.

An emerald chronograph. A platinum, emerald-set perpetual calendar chronograph from about 2016, double sealed, carries HK$4.8 million to HK$9.6 million.

Carat Capital's sums: lows 26.5 + 16 + 12 + 4.8 + 3.8 = HK$63.1m; highs 43 + 32 + 24 + 9.6 + 7.6 = HK$116.2m. These are five of the sale's 40 watches, not a sale total.

A Journe follows September's sale

The ruby-dial Souverain. The F.P. Journe, case 758-TN, is a platinum limited-edition Tourbillon Souverain with a ruby dial. It carries HK$16 million to HK$32 million.

September set a price. A Tourbillon Souverain of unstated dial made HK$31.4 million at Sotheby's Hong Kong on 21 September. A second Souverain in that sale made HK$23.47 million.

A Cartier closes it. A specially ordered pink gold Cartier Crash with a black dial carries HK$3.8 million to HK$7.6 million.

Forty watches for forty years

An anniversary sale. Christie's says the sale gathers 40 watches to mark its 40th anniversary year in Asia. The five it names carry low estimates of HK$63.1 million on Carat Capital's sum.

Phillips sells first. Phillips' Hong Kong sale on 21 and 22 November is led among independents by a Journe Résonance at HK$6 million to HK$12 million.

The story so far

  1. Phillips estimates Mark Cho's Journe Résonance at HK$6m–12m for 21–22 November.
  2. A Journe Tourbillon Souverain made HK$31.4m, the top lot of Sotheby's 21 September sale.

Corrections1 note

Clarified, 23 October 2026: an earlier version said the ruby-dial Souverain's high estimate sat just above September's HK$31.4 million 'result for the model', and asked whether it would clear that price. The HK$31.4 million is a sale result for a Souverain of unstated dial, one of two in that sale (the other made HK$23.47 million), and Christie's HK$32 million high is an estimate before buyer's premium. The page no longer compares the two as like with like. What was right as published: every estimate and result. Raised by Carat Capital's standards desk on 22 October 2026.

What would change this call

The Sky Moon and the Souverain selling below their lows. Then September's HK$31.4 million reads as one watch's price, not a level.

How the estimates are read

An auction house sets a low and a high estimate from comparable sales and the consignor's terms. Christie's says its estimates exclude the buyer's premium, while sale totals include it. A result is read against the low and high, not the midpoint.

Method

Christie's sale page, The Iconic 40 Watches Evening Sale, sale 25299, fetched 22 October 2026, 200, 102,853 bytes. Each estimate was read from the same record as its lot title and reference in the page's specialist selection: 'HK$26,500,000-43,000,000' with 'REF. 6002G-010' and 'SKY MOON TOURBILLON MODEL'; 'HK$16,000,000-32,000,000' with 'CASE NO. 758-TN'; 'HK$12,000,000-24,000,000' with 'REF. 6104/12G-010, CIRCA 2017'; 'HK$4,800,000-9,600,000' with 'REF. 5271/13P-001, CIRCA 2016'; 'HK$3,800,000-7,600,000' with 'CRASH "NSO" MODEL'. Each record carries start date '2026-11-25T10:00Z', which is 18:00 in Hong Kong. The page description gives the 40 watches and the 40th anniversary year in Asia; its tooltip reads 'Estimates do not include buyer's premium.' The page carries no publication date. A second Christie's watch sale on 26 November has been reported elsewhere; it is not on this page and is not printed. The September results are from Sotheby's recap of its 21 September sale, saved 6 October: lot 2400, F.P. Journe Tourbillon Souverain, 'HK$31,400,000', and lot 2579, the same model, 'HK$23,470,000'. The recap does not say whether these include buyer's premium ('premium' 0 hits) or give either dial ('ruby' 0 hits), so the results and this pre-premium estimate are not compared as like with like. ARCHIVE, by entity and period: Carat Capital's archive, 'Iconic 40' 0 rows, 'Sky Moon' 0, '6002G' 0; 'Hong Kong' 'Patek' 5 rows, opened: the 21 October Phillips preview and the 6 October Sotheby's result are different houses and sales.
